STEP 2: MAPPING
IMPORTANT: It is critical for mapping to be configured accurately. Significant clean-up effort is required if data is mapped incorrectly.
- You land on the Mapping Dashboard when you select the “2. Mapping” tab on the Integrations Dashboard.
- Chapter, Member and Officer are called “objects” in the integration and are the three main ‘categories’ of data.
- Hierarchy of objects in integrated data: Chapter → Member → Officer
- Chapter mapping and matching is required before completing Member data synchronization, mapping, and matching.
- Member data synchronization mapping and matching is required before completing Officer
- Mapping status must be active (slider = green) for data sync to run for that object.
- There are two types of mapping in this integration:
- One-to-One Mapping - All values in the object/attribute fields map to the associated object/attribute field and populate accordingly.
- In this example, Chapter, Member and Officer objects/attributes all have one-to-one mapping.
- Value Mapping - Mapping occurs based on the actual values entered in a field.
- In this example, only Member and Officer objects/attributes have value mapping (in addition to one-to-one mapping). The Chapter object/attributes do not have value mapping.
- One-to-One Mapping - All values in the object/attribute fields map to the associated object/attribute field and populate accordingly.
